Philz Mint Mojito Coffee

Author: Tilia Chiu

Ingredients

Mint Simple Syrup (You can totally make this & store it in the fridge for a couple of weeks)

  • Sugar (white sugar)

  • Water

  • Mint Leaves

  • Vanilla extract (optional)

  • Green food coloring (optional)

Coffee (whatever you like, I use Lee’s Pourover Coffee, it’s super smooth and strong!)

  • Milk (I use oat milk, but anything works!)

  • Ice

  • Sugar (optional, to taste)

Directions

  1. Brew your coffee according to the instructions (instant works fine too!)

  2. While your coffee is cooling down, get started on your mint simple syrup.

  3. Mint Simple Syrup:

    1. Put equal parts sugar and water (about a cup each per handful of mint leaves) in a pan with a handful of mint leaves and a splash of vanilla extract (optional).

      1. If you want it to look green, use a couple of drops of food coloring

    2. Cook down until the sugar dissolves and the mixture thickens

    3. Let cool, and you’re all set!

  4. Fill a glass with ice, pour in milk and coffee to your preference, add in mint simple syrup until it’s sweet enough for you (about a teaspoon works for me), and stir.

  5. Top with a few mint leaves and whipped cream (optional), enjoy!

**this recipe even works with whipped coffee, just mix the simple syrup in the milk and top with the whipped coffee
